Team FASCAR Adds New Date to Sunbelt Super Late Model Series

by Jane Smith
Samsula, Fla - (March 27, 2003) Team FASCAR announced that a Sunbelt Super Late Model race has been scheduled for April 26 at Charlotte County Speedway in Punta Gorda. This will be the sixth race in the 15 race series.

Recently Charlotte County Speedway has gone thru major improvements including new asphalt on the track and moving the infield pits to the outside of the track. In 2002, the Sunbelt Super Late Model race was rained out at Charlotte County even though a number of drivers showed up only to go back home.

Owner/Promoter Leroy Davidson said, "I am so pleased that the Sunbelt Super Late Model Series is returning on April 26. The fans here are very excited and look forward to some good short track racing by some of the best Super Late Model drivers in the state. I think the drivers will be very pleased with the new track and all the improvements we have made to Charlotte County Speedway."

Team FASCAR is very pleased that Charlotte County Speedway will be one of the hosts for the Sunbelt Super Late Model Series which showcases Super Late Model drivers from around the state. The Sunbelt Super Late Model Series will run at Orlando SpeedWorld, New Smyrna Speedway, Ocala Speedway, Bronson Motor Speedway, Citrus County Speedway, USA International, Sebring International Speedway (the only road course race for Super Late Models), and now Charlotte County Speedway.

Charlotte County Speedway is a 3/8 mile semi-banked asphalt track located in Punta Gorda, Florida east of I-75 at exit 28 on SR 768, North on Piper Road near the airport. Racing starts at 6:30 p.m.

The next race for the FASCAR Sunbelt Super Late Model Series will be this Saturday, March 29, at Citrus County Speedway in Inverness, Florida.
