USCS returns to Columbia Motorsports Park on April 5th

OCALA, Fla. (March 24, 2003) - On Saturday April 5th the United Sprint Car Series "Outlaw Thunder" Tour will make it's second annual visit to Columbia Motorsport Park in Ellisville near Lake City, Florida. This will be the nationally touring outlaw winged sprint car series' only visit to the challenging 1/2 mile high banked asphalt oval. It will also be the only winged sprint car race scheduled for the track in 2003. USCS is the only winged sprint series in the World that races on paved and dirt ovals. This will be the third event on the forty race schedule covering nine states for the USCS drivers.

The USCS contingent will be led by 2001 and 2002 USCS National Champion Terry Gray of Bartlett, Tennessee and 2000 National Sprint Car Hall of Fame Driver of the Year, and 2000 USCS National Champion, Kenny Adams from Malabar, Florida. Adams is the seven year old series' all time leading feature winner and holds the track record at almost every speedway the USCS has visited. Adams just won the 2003 USCS season opener at Mobile (Alabama) International Speedway on March 22nd.

USCS founder and President, Pete Walton said "I would not be suprised if we see a new all time track record Columbia Motorsport Park as speeds were up in our opener at Mobile. We time trial at every asphalt event and our guys expecially, Adams who holds the record at CMSP takes real pride in holding and breaking track records."
