Florida Pro Series Awards Banquet

OCALA, Fla - The Florida Pro Series late model tour
honored its top drivers at the annual awards banquet
at Steinbrenner's Ramada Inn here Sunday afternoon.

Dick Anderson, the undisputed "King of Florida's short
tracks" became the first three time FPS titleist but
was unable to attend due to a bout with the flu. His
wife, Mary, graciously accepted the champsionship
hardware and point fund monies.

College freshman Jay Middleton garnered second place
honors in the final talley followed by Brian Finney,
Doyle Boatwright and Jonny Kay.

Series organizer Bert Ashleman announced an ambitious
2003 schedule that will kick off on March 1 at the
lightning quick half-mile Columbia Motorsports Park in
Lake City.
