Colt James took his 3rd win of the season and ended up 2nd in points for the season. The 86 of Jimmy Lang is the new 2008 Season Champion of the ASA Late Model Series Southern Division. The 88 Justin Larson is the 2008 Rookie of the year for the ASA Late Model Series Southern Division. It was a very exciting race with the Championship battle closer than any other division this season. It was really an amazing night.
Lap leaders were 57 Chad Pierce lap 1-25 , 86 Jimmy Lang lap 26-35, 88 Justin Larson lap 35-47, 86 Jimmy Lang 48-110 and the final five laps were led by 15 Colt James. The Championship event had a total of 12 caution laps with the track going red on lap 40 with the 51, Stephen Nasse going air born into the fence then he barrel rolled onto the track and slid to the infield. The Driver was ok but the car has extensive damage.
