IT'S TIME TO RACE!!
May 10, 2005
BUTLER MAKES IT 2 IN A ROW IN CFWSCA ACTION
by Ken Sands

Jimmy Alvis led the 21 car starting field to the green at Auburndale Speedway on Saturday night in the 35 lap main event for the Central Florida Wingless Sprint Car Association, Alvis in the PEP #29T held the top spot until Dude Teate in the George Rudolph #68 took the spot on lap 17, that lead was short lived though as Alvis returned to the top spot a lap later only to get tangled with a lapped car on the 19th go round, with Alvis being sent to the rear of the field, this would give the lead to Shane Butler in the Bushnell Quick Lube/Katz Well Drilling #1.

Butler would hold off Dude Teate and David Steele in the Todd Schmidt owned Classic Corvette/Osha Bob sponsored #96 for the remaining 15 laps to claim his second win in a row. Teate would hold on for second over Steele, Charlie Ladner in the Mac Steele owned #0 would get 4th with Alvis reworking through traffic to settle for 5th. Daryl Smith in the Ken Sands owned/Buddys Home Furnishings #3 would come home for 6th followed by Chuck Klausing in the 44X, Ernie Teed Jr in the Carla Rudolph/Jimmy T's Racing Transmissions #48, Curtis Carter in the C&S Hauling/Parker Stores #2c and Randy Woodall in the 5W rounding out the top 10. Heat winners were David Steele, Dude Teate and Shane Butler. The CFWSCA gave away bicycles to 4 lucky fans at intermission,a special thanks to Jimmy T's Racing Transmissions for donating the bicycles.
