By Bill Green Tampa, FL (Oct. 16th, 2004)- Open Wheeled Modifieds sponsored by Gagle’s Auto Parts for the 2004 season, were joined by LHP Motorsports Trackside Support Team for the Twin-15 event this weekend and the Twin 15-Lap events were Action packed for sure. Coming into the event "Prime Time" Bobby Dixon was leading the points chase (562 pts), so he would lead the field to green. With the full line-up by points for Twin #1, that put John Bradley (550 pts) outside the front row by Dixon. Jeff Mathews (500 pts) started third, David Boerner fourth (421 pts) and Rusty Dixon (372 pts) fifth. The early lead would go to Bobby Dixon, but after a trip to the back of the pack, Bobby would settle for 8th as John Bradley took the win. Second would go to a hard charging Jamie Burrows from 18th starting spot. Third went to Greg Reutimann, with Jeff Mathews fourth and Bruce Watkins fifth. Bradley would draw the #6 pill for the inversion putting Billy Boyd on the pole for Twin #2. LHP Twin #2 started with Boyd and Watkins as the front row. Bruce Watkins would take advantage of the starting spot and take the win in Twin #2. John Bradley would back up his Twin #1 win with a second place finish, while Bobby "Prime Time" Dixon came from 8th to third. Fourth went to Bill Howard and Roger Crouse came to fifth. The Able Body Limited Late Models brought 18 cars to green and it would be David Simpson taking the win after Terry Bronson drove away early, only to blow a motor. Second went to Tommy Kelly, third was Jeremy Simpson’s, forth went to Shane Koperda from 16th and Timmy Gay would get a fifth place finish. Street Stocks saw 28 cars come to the green, but only one could take the checkered and the win, that would be Paul Gibbs in Victory Lane. Second went to Tim Spencer, third to "The Col." Austin Sanders, with Buck Woodhouse fourth and Steve Burch fifth. Limited Sprint feature saw the #85 of Clyde Poole maintain a dominate October run with "Sticks" Greg Leonard at the controls taking the win. Second went to "Big" Tim George, Danny Jones third, Michael Smith settled for fourth and "Daisy Dukes" Paulie Milum came from 11th to fifth. Late Model action included a few bent race cars, but David Schmauss kept the motor in the #105 for the win. Second went to "The Master" Donnie Tanner, Roger Crouse took third, while Phillip Cobb and Marshall Austin swapped forth and fifth several time, only to have Cobb come out on top in the end. Mini Stocks finished off the Saturday Night action with Brian DeBore visiting Victory Lane again, after Scotty Williams had his motor go up in flames. Scotty was OK, but that put Greg Pae into second and Ryan Mitchell third. After 16th starter Josh Peacock had trouble and Jim Coursen and Steve Miller locked bumpers, it would be Rich Livernois in fourth and Chad Rose limped home fifth.. Next week it’s the exciting Street Stock Twin-15’s sponsored by East Bay Raceway Park, with another look at Late Models, Limited Late Models, Open Wheeled Modifieds, Mini Stocks and Limited Sprints.
