Scott Singler - Volusia Late Model Winner
Volusia Speedway provided it's fans with a night of action packed racing, great weather and Peter Cottontail's bag of candy. The grandstand were full as fan's stood cheering on their favorite drivers.
Chuck Julien jumped to the lead as The Deland Truck Center Late Model Feature took the green. Scott Singler, Mike Eubanks, Rod Burton, Joe Kump, Brent Chilson & David Clegg pulled up on his bumper as everyone was scrambling for positions. Julien used the high & low groove's trying to shake off the hard charging field that had tacked on his bumper but Singler kept putting on the pressure.
The field ran 2 & 3 wide, when half way through Julien spun in turn 4, Singler kept his foot in the petal trying to avoid losing the lead position. Eubanks spun to avoid hitting Julien as Burton, Kump, Clegg & Chilson ran neck and neck with the leader. Julien was done for the evening.

Stanton Mills won The Street Stock Feature after taking the lead from Tim Hughes with 4 laps to go. Grady Christian & Tim Hughes held the top spot only to each fall prey to motor problems. The field ran 3 & 4 abreast, swapping paint, fenders& tires as they battled for positions. Bobby Johal spun on front stretch collecting Landon Lungren who was thrown up on the front security fence totaling out his new automobile.
Lungren was shaken but not seriously injured but done for the night. Hughes held the lead on the restart as Mills, Pat Vareika, Paul Shead, Joey Haslauer, Dustin Hartley & Donnie Ashford battled riding his tail continually changing positions.
Lady Luck wasn't with Hughes as smoke started pouring out of his car, retiring him for the night. Mills took the lead as he used the entire track to hold on to the lead for the win. Jeremy Cline won The Hobby Stock A-Main Feature from green to checkered.
Dennis North, Richard Price, Mike Tovet, Travis Gamble, Jimmy Heffner & remaining field of 24 battled 3 & 4 wide, beating and banging off each other for position. Cautions pledged the evening as Cline took the checkered sideways with 2 flat tires he got on turn 4 holding off the hard charging North. Pat Taulbee won The Hobby Stock B-Main after taking the lead from Steve Edmunds on the last lap of the race. Top Ten: Pat Taulbee, Steve Edmunds, Jody Stratton, Sonny O, Frankie Taylor, Philip Connor, Chuck Jackson, Keith Murphree, Billy Nulf, Rick Coward
Charlie Staats won The Mini Stock Feature. Mark Eldridge jumped to the lead as the green was thrown but Staats was on a mission as he pulled up on his bumper. Staats went high then would fall low until he pulled around Eldridge for the lead. Eldridge, Mooers, James McCague, Jackie Rhames & the hard running field just couldn't put enough pressure on Staats as held tight for the win. Tommy Saunders made it two in a row winning The Pure Stock Feature and this time going across the scales to hold onto his well deserved win. John Clegg was all over his bumper all night trying to pressure Saunders to slip but Lady Luck rode with Saunders. Ray Hunter, Steve Buker, DJ Nobles, Nathan Rhoades and the entire field put the petal to the metal, slamming off each other, running 4 wide, inches apart for positions. Fans cheers as this fine field of drivers put on an extremely exciting race for their fans.
