IT'S TIME TO RACE!!
November 5, 2003
Chad Allman wins Desoto LLM , Dyndal wins first Modified Trophy
By Rick Anges

Bradenton, Fl. THE Turner Tree and Landscape Limited Late Model series made its debut this year and has turned out to be a great success. The racing has been exciting and the fields have included some of the top names in the sport.

Dewayne Bryan scorched the speedway and was fast qualifier for tonites 75 lap feature event as the points race was coming down to its second to last race.

The field was inverted 3 rows and the race was on. The cars were jockeying for position when out of turn two Dwayne Barrus spun infront of a pack of cars. Lonny Miller was right behind him and had to get hard on the binders. With no where to go Bill Davis slammed into the rear of Millers machine.

Miller and Barrus slid down into the infield. In what appeared to be a normal wreck suddenly turned into what all drivers' fear most as Millers fuel cell had burst and the raw fuel ignited sending flames three stories into the air.

As the crowd gasped the fast acting fire crew went into action and the flames were extinguished. Although both racecars suffered major damage from the fire the drivers escaped un scathed thanks to the well-trained safety crew.

After the crowd was able to catch their breath and the track was cleaned Chad "the Hood" Allman cruised to the victory. Points Leader Doug Moff took second, third was Tommy Younkman, fourth went to Gus Coorssen and rounding out the top five was Scott Woodland.

Open Wheel Modifieds Although Andy Dyndal has lead the points for most of the season a win has eluded him tonight would be his night as Dyndal took the lead and cruised to his first ever victory. Dyadal was able to hold off the charge of Wayne Jefferson who took second, third went to Steve Perez, fourth was Pat Nanney and rounding out the top five was L.B.Skaggs.

TBARA The Winged Sprints made their final assault of the 2003 season. And Ray Bragg continued his winning ways taking the feature event win Trophy. Shane Butler roared across the stripe in second, third was a hard charging David Steele, fourth was Mark Gimmler and fifth was David Slawiak.
