Bradenton, Fl. Wayne Jefferson has been on a tear in the Open Wheel ranks racking up win after win. But the problem was that Jefferson had not officially joined the Open Wheel series until several weeks into the season thus leaving him deep in the point's race. Jefferson made a big jump back up by taking the 35-lap "double points" feature.
Timmy Moore jumped out to the early lead and looked like the car to beat. As the race wore on though it was Jefferson who made the final move and took the lead and the win, second went to Moore, third was Lee Collins, fourth went to Chet Senogossoff and rounding out the top five was John Shields.
