Josh Byrd Wins Late Model Feature at Columbia Motorsports Park
by Marty Little
LAKE CITY, Fla. - Josh Byrd notched a wire to wire run in the 20 lap Late Model feature Saturday night at Columbia Motorsports Park. Byrd took the lead at the drop of the initial green flag and paced every circuit on the half-mile oval for the victory over Doyle Boatwright, Al Beckleheimer, Jr and Jody Turner.

Former track champion J.F. McClellan took the lead from Charlie Seroki on the second lap and went on to win the 25 lap Florida Modified feature. Greg Nordstrom chased McClellan but settled for second ahead of Mike Johnson, Jason Garver and Seroki.

In Street Stock action Tim Conrad proved to be the best this night as he powered past Brad Fiene on the second lap and never looked back, leading Jeff Prescott and Ray Wheeler to the checkers. Seroki and Roy Crain rounded out the top five runners.

Pure Stock dominator Marty Wood was at it again, leading all 20 laps from his second row starting slot for the victory. Russell Patterson and Jason Bedenbaugh trailed.

The Three Quarter Late Model headliner fell to Tony Carrigg in front of David Rader and Terry Dugger.
