A field of 23 Limited Late Models rolled onto the speedway for qualifying for the Turner Tree and Landscape series. Tommy Younkman was the man of the hour taking fast time. Younkman and his father Tom have put a lot of effort into his ride with the help from veteran Wayne Anderson and the work is starting to pay off.
The roll of the die inverted the field 6 rows putting Keith Lilley and Scott Woodaland on the point for the 75 lap feature event.
When the green dropped it was Tim Russell who drove past the top 2 cars and took the lead. Russell had his hands full with Tate Pierce on his bumper but Russell was able to hold him off lap after lap. Russell was later caught up in a mid race spin and ended up finishing in the thirteenth spot.
Jason Boyd came back to the high banks and had a really good run going and was moving up into the top 5 when he and Glenn Morris got together going into turn one, both cars spun in a cloud of smoke. Neither car was damaged but both were sent to the rear of the field. Boyd was charging back through pack until the rear end broke ending his bid.
Several cautions and lead changes kept the crowd on its feet through the event but when the smoke cleared it was Doug Moff making his way back to the winners circle for the third time in as many races, Tate Pierce made his name known finishing in the second spot. For the second time Tommy Younkman scored a third, fourth was Keith Lilley fourth and in the fifth spot it was Bill Davis.
