O'Neal Takes Super Late Model Win at VSP

BARBERVILLE, Fla. (Feb. 11, 2003) - Don O'Neal of Martinsville, Id. took the green flag and charged to victory circle. Brian Birkhoffer in #15 chased O'Neal but was unable to pass. Billy Ogle #2001 out of Knoxville,Tn tried to get around Birkhoffer several times but Birkhoffer closed the door. #24 Rick Eckert fought to hang onto 4th place with the #28 W of Thomas Ware from Cynthiana, Ky had to settle for 5th place. 6th place to #7 Matt Mellon, 7th, #88 Wendall Wallace, 8th postion Tim McCredie and 9ththe W11 Robby Blair, in the #28 Dennis Erb taking 10th.

PURSLEY TAKES THE CHECKERED FLAG IN UMP MODIFIED EVENT.

The UMP Modified feature was the 9P of Klent Pursley, who took the green and held off all pursuits, #79 Clint Bowen tried to pass many times but Pursley held him off.The #121 Craig Thatcher was in hot pursuit with 1PJ of Shawn Holliday on his bumper. Mel Safford # 1D settling in for 5th place.

Racing continues at Volusia Speedway Park Feb 11- with The Super Late Models, Northern D.I.R.T. Modifieds and UMP Modifieds at 7:30 P:M. Gates open at 5:P:M. For further information call 386-985-4402
