Roger Webb Tops Modifieds At Columbia | By Marty Little
LAKE CITY, Fla. - Wheeling his familiar No. 90 Florida modified, veteran Roger Webb grabbed the lead on the opening lap and lead all 20 laps to win the feature event Saturday night at Columbia Motorsports Park.
Greg Nordstrom gave chase of Webb but settled for runner-up money ahead of John Crawford, J. F. McClellan and Max Mock.
Fourth starting Charles Seroki grabbed the lead on lap five and sped to the victory in the 20 lap street stock headliner. Dale Rogers paced the opening four laps until Seroki motored to the lead. Swain Norris kept digging and checkered second over Brad Fiene, Rogers and pole sitter Ronnie Crawford.
Matt Stafford crossed the line first in the 20 lap pure stock run but his car failed a post race protest and Marty Wood was awareded the victory. John Roling, William Jerkins, Jason Parker and rookie Russell Patterson rounded out the top five runners. Have an opinion on this story?
