Results for 4/27/02 Columbia Motorsports Park

by Marty Little
LAKE CITY, FL - Veteran Richard Ferry wasted little time
in getting to the front of the late model stock field
at Columbia Motorsports Park Saturday night and once in
front, he never looked back enroute to victory in the
25 lap main event.

Ray Wheeler gave case for many laps but with one circuit
remaining Gale Grayer powered into the runner up slot
and checkered there. Wheeler, Clayton Roberts and
Jimmy Bunn completed the top five finishers.

Grayer came from the second row of the street stock
starting field to lead every lap and win the 20 lap
headliner. Tim Conrad trailed Grayer at the stripe
ahead of Charles Seroki, Dave Barber, Jr., and
Brian Wheeler.

The pure stock 20 lap main was pocketed by Matt
Stafford in a good run over Dewey McClellan and
John Roling.
