Columbia 8/18

LAKE CITY, Fla. - Another of the youngsters found his way to victory lane Saturday night at Columbia Motorsports Park as 16-year-old Fain Skinner led wire to wire to claim his first ever late model stock win in the 25 lap run. Veteran Jeff Prescott shadowed Skinner but had to settle for second money ahead of former track champ Michael Haight, Robert Fraley and Pete Richardson.

Greg Slone topped the dozen lap Florida Modified main over Roger Webb and Rick McManaway.

In the first of two 20 lap street stock features, Charles Seroki copped the make-up event ahead of Prescott, Swain Norris, Gale Grayer and early leader Nick Reid.

In the regular race it was Prescott the winner, taking over the point on lap six. Norris, Reid, Seroki and Randall Jackson followed.

Pure stock point leader William Jerkins claimed another victory, this time ahead of main rival L.H. Davis, Matt Stafford, Clay McRae and Rick Day.
