| Volusia County Fair Present DIRToberFAST at Volusia Speedway Park October 8th thru 10th | VSP MEDIA
Barberville, FL (October 6, 2009) Only TWO more days until DIRToberFAST, presented by Volusia County Fair, is here at Volusia Speedway Park. Fans will see two nights of racing action plus they are welcome to come and watch open practice on Thursday, October 8th.
"We are very excited about DIRToberFAST this weekend," said General Manager Tonya Moschell. "All our staff and officials are ready for action and have plenty of energy for the next few days. Fans will see everything from Late Models to 4 Cylinder Challengers this Friday and Saturday nights plus a pancake breakfast on Saturday and a Racers Swat Meet."
"All racers are welcome to bring whatever they need to sell for the swap meet on Saturday. Now is the time to do it with the 2009 racing season over and getting ready for the 2010 season. A lot of the drivers move up or down during this time in classes and if you need something and can't find it,
try Saturday at the swap meet."
There will be an open practice on Thursday, October 8th, from 6 to 9 pm. Pit bands are $15.00, grandstands are FREE. All divisons are welcome for practice.
On Friday, October 9th, it is qualifying events for Sportsman, Modifieds, and Street Stocks. Thunder Stocks will race for $500 to win with the 4 Cylinder Challengers have TWIN races for $250 to win. Plus for those who love to party after the races, there is an Octoberfest party.
Pit bands on Friday, October 9th, are $25 Non-Member and $22 Member. A 2 day Pit Pass will be $45 Non Member and $39 Member. Racers who do get the 2 Day Pit Pass will receive a coupon for Friday after-party meal.
Grandstands on Friday, October 9th, are $12 Adults, students 11-15 are $6.00. Children 10 and under are FREE. Drive-in parking is $10.00. 2 Day Adult General Admissions will also be availabe for $22.
On Saturday, October 10th, the "Big" boys will roll in. Late Models will qualify and race on Saturday for $2500 to win. It will also be last chance events and features for the Sportsman, Modifieds, and Street Stocks. Sportsman and Modifieds go for $1500 to win with the Street Stocks racing for $1000 to win.
Plus on Saturday morning from 9 am to 11 am, there will be a Pancake Breakfast with a Racers Swap Meet from 11 am to 2 pm.
Pit admission on Saturday, October 10th, will be $25 Non Member and $22 Member. Grandstands will be $15 Adult, $7.00 Students 11-15, and children 10 and under FREE. Drive-in parking is $10.00.
Remember camping for the three day event is FREE so bring your tent, your RVs and spend the weekend at Volusia Speedway Park.
Volusia Speedway Park will be closed on Saturday, October 17th, but will return on Saturday, October 24th, with the United Dirt Late Model Challenge Series and the Late Model Fall Nationals along with the Modifieds, Street Stocks, and Thunder Stocks.
Pit Bands and Grandstand Stubs from 9-12 AND 9-26 honored for any one VSP race through 10-30. No refund for difference in grandstand ticket price.
