O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions to return to East Bay for 2010 Winter Nationals
Camargo, IL (9-30-09) – By Kelly Brown –Public Relations Director – With the 2009 season in the history books it is time for the O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions to start looking ahead to the next season. Today the series released that they will be returning to East Bay Raceway Park during their 27th annual Winter Nationals. Beginning on Thursday February 11th the All Stars will embark on three nights of exciting race action at the 1/3-mile clay banked oval.
East Bay Raceway Park has been a part of the All Star’s Winter National schedule since 1984 when three nights of racing action saw Lee Osbourne, Joe Saldana and Bobby Davis Jr. go to Victory Lane. Since then East Bay has hosted 74 All Star races. Over the years Bobby Davis Jr. has been the “King” of East Bay winning 12 races at the 1/3-mile oval.
The last time the All Star visited East Bay was in 2003 when Danny Lasoski won two out of three nights of thrilling racing action. After the six year hiatus from the track the All Star Circuit of Champions are looking to start the season with a bang.
Each night the money on the line will increase as on Thursday night the drivers will be competing for $3,000, Friday night $5,000 will be up for grabs and on Friday night the winner will take home $7,000. Even one lucky fan will get to go home a little richer each night. At the end of each night of racing one fan will win $1,000 for just attending the event.
