Barberville, FL (July 21, 2009) Saturday will be a BIG night at Volusia Speedway Park when it is RASSLIN & RACIN with the stars from the Florida Wrestling Association. Stars of the F.W.A. are B.Brian Blair, Mike ENOS, Steve Keirn, the Bushwackers, American Freedom Fighter -Kahagus, HecTor Guerrero, Southern Posse - Texas Hangman, Brian Gamble, Hack Meyers and Paul Adonis. F.W.A. will be at 6:30 pm on the grandstand side of Volusia.
It is also WNDB Night at Volusia with the Top Gun Sprint Cars, Florida Mini Sprints, Modifieds, 4 Cylinder Challengers plus Mini Stocks will run for $500 to win. A big night full of rasslin and racin.
This will be the second appearance of the Top Gun Sprint Cars at Volusia Speedway Park. On April 18, twenty five sprints were in the field but it was Terry Witherspoon who took the checkered followed by Ryan Partin, Tony Agin, Troy Knowles, and Mark Schroeder. On the same night, the Florida Mini Sprints made their first appearance with twenty two cars in the field. Taking the checkered was Russ Heider followed by Tim O'Donnell, David Pleaugh, Leroy Moore, and Steve Crabtree.
Both of these series will run this Saturday night at Volusia. Leading the points for the Top Gun Sprint Car Series is Ryan Partin with 562 points followed by Mike Schroeder with 546, Troy Knowles with 530, Rich Alexander with 490 and Tony Agin with 480. The latest winner in the Top Gun Series was Matt Kurtz who won on June 26th at North Florida Speedway.
Leading the Florida Mini Sprints in points after their June 20th race at Putnam County Speedway is Tim O'Donnell with 1096 points followed by Harold Matthews with 1060 points, Eddie Moss, Jr. with 994 points, Steve Crabtree with 990 points and Russ Helder with 969 points. Eighteen cars were at Putnam County on June 20th with Harold Matthews taking the checkered over Jesse Teed, Leory Moore, Eddie Moss, Jr., and Tim O'Donnell.
Advance tickets for Saturday are $12.00. Call 386-985-4402 for information on getting advance tickets. General Admission on Saturday, July 25th, is $15.00, students 11 - 15 are $7.00, children 10 and under FREE. Drive-in parking is $10.00.
