3rd Annual Charity Truckers 200 Weekend - A Great Cause !
C.A.R.S. Motorsports
Orlando FL 12-3-08 - Orlando Speedworld is the place to be this weekend December 5th & 6th. With just 2 days to go the third edition of the Fountain Motorsports Driver Development Charity Truckers 200 weekend is shaping up to be a good one. Twenty-five Pre-paid Truck entries are in with another 5-8 trucks who have called and may be there. The racing for Friday night is looking good as well as a good field of DAARA Antique cars is expected. 14-16 Mini-cups have given intentions of being there, and the Super-stock re-match between North & South is looking to be highly exciting, as well as the Strictly-stock bash.
Bandoleros and Legends are expecting to field some good competitive events Saturday night after the Truck race as well. The events of the weekend are to benefit Lacey Pate and her family. Lacey has been through so much in her 9 year life, and she is so strong. " My family and I had the wonderful opportunity to meet the Pates for supper Monday night and just get to know them better, Lacey is my hero, that girl has more strength then most big men I know. She is a darling and she has achieved so much, and is so determined. She is not suppose to be here according to doctors, but God as worked a miracle in her life and with her determination she continues to defy the odds. She walked to us the other night to shake our hands, folks this alone is amazing as she was told she would not walk, she told her Daddy " I am going to walk" and she is. That visit confirmed to me we are helping the right family. I can't wait for everyone to meet this wonderful girl and her sister, mom and dad" stated Rick Bristol event promoter.
Friday night the event gets underway for the fans with truck qualifying at 7p.m. followed by features for the DAARA antique cars with midgets, sprints and stocks. The mini-cups take to the track next with a 40 lap Charity Championship. Things get rough and tough when the Super-stocks roll on to the track for a 50 Lap $600 winner take all event that is also a rematch between the north ( New Smyrna) and the south (Orlando) drivers. It is sure to be a dandy ! We wrap up the racing with a 30 Lap $500 winner take all bash, that will be exciting.

Many thanks to all the sponsors and folks that have helped to make this event possible, we will thank them on Saturday night and you can see them in the Souvenir Program that will be on sale for just $3. There will be 50/50 raffles each night, prize raffles both nights and the 3rd Annual Charity Truckers 200 t-shirts will be on sale for just $7 each or two for $10. All the proceeds from these things go directly to the family.
During the halfway stop of the 200 lap truck race the Bandolero and Legend drivers will go through the grandstands with their helmets, we ask all to be as generous has they can. Donation jugs will be set up in the pits at the office and at the cookout for those to donate or you can give directly to Rick Bristol.
After a holiday of thanks, and looking forward to a holiday of giving, this is the time for us to do what we can to help this family. You can see a great two nights of racing, for a great cause don't miss be there. www.carsracermarketing.com
