TBARA DRIVERS & FANS NIGHT OUT! | TBARA DRIVERS & FANS NIGHT OUT! Staff Report Tuesday, October 24 SHORT TRACK AMERICA and its “Real Racin’ USA” Internet broadcast hosts TBARA Winged Sprint night at the Snook River Grill in Bradenton, Fl.
To date Dave Steele, Wendy Mathis, Michael Smith and Joey Aguilar have confirmed they will be in attendance, and several others have expressed a strong interest.
The Snook River Grill is located at 2505 Manatee Avenue East (State Rt 64) and is 3.5 miles west of Exit 220, the same exit you take to go to DeSoto Speedway. The SHORT TRACK AMERICA room seats 65 people and expands if necessary to seat an additional 85 people. A few weeks ago a standing room only audience of racers and fans were on hand for the popular weekly broadcast.Parking is plentiful and provisions have been made to accommodate haulers, with cars being displayed beginning at 5:00 PM. All drivers are invited to bring their cars, mingle with fans and perhaps sign a few autographs.
The Snook River Grill is “Florida casual” atmosphere and race fans have a whole lot of fun each week; it’s not just a Internet radio show, but a weekly get together for Florida racers. Each week racers come from all over Florida to the show, including Sarasota, Naples, Ocala, Orlando, Lakeland, the Tampa Bay area, and as far away as Palm Beach and other East Coast locations.
For October 24th the entire show is dedicated to the Tampa Bay Area Racing Association, and there will be a chance for drivers to do interviews, promote sponsors and the series. This is the week before the DeSoto Speedway race and could be an excellent chance to promote the series and the upcoming event.
The TBARA is Florida’s most popular local racing series, as survey after survey done by KARNAC.com can attest. Sharpen your Sharpies and get ready for a great night of fun and fanfare. You guys and gals deserve it.
