The concept of Saturday night racing has evolved several times in the past fifty years. What started out as good-ole-boys competing for bragging rights on Florida's short tracks, has fast become a loosing proposition for many promoters and track owners.

As land value increases, tracks are whittled away by progress. As entertainment options increase for the local community, racing falls to the bottom of a long list of places to go on Saturday Nights. Competing with movies, concerts, attractions like Disney, Busch Gardens and video games for a family's hard earned entertainment dollars. Fast Media Group has developed a new and exciting concept of racing entertainment, "The Traveling Family Friendly, All-In-One Packaged Show, is what we envisioned," related a very excited Bobby Diehl, FMG Promotions Director, "It will work, because the tracks make money up-front as we rent the facility for the day or partner with them."
The series will hopefully benefit and finish in the black with promotional and advertisement sales. The the fans win big with an exciting variety of racing action and entertainment for their dollar, plus the added element of National TV coverage." Fast Media Group will debut its Full Day, "Fast Media Group Extravaganza" at Charlotte County Speedway this Saturday Night, March 11th, 2006. FMG brings a well rounded line up of amazing speeds, powerful racing sounds, sights and smells, plus musical entertainment and exciting close quarters racing to this new effort.
The gates open at 8AM for Fast Drifters-Formula DST practice and preliminary elimination rounds. Drifter fans can come early and see the preliminary elimination rounds, then return at 6PM for the Finals for all classes.
And, it will all end with the Fast Kids 25-Lap Feature, FasTruck Pro 50-Lap Feature, Fast Late Model A-Main Feature and the final rounds for the Fast Drifters-Formula DST, from 6PM till approximately 10PM. Die-hard fans are welcome all day long for one low price. Uncle John's Smoked Sausage will be available until the regular concessions open and visits with the early race arrivals will be welcomed by the race teams all day for pits pass purchasers. The NEW Fast Drifters will compete for cash prizes, and an end of year points fund just like the Fast Pros and Late Models do. While the Fast Kids challenge for special race sponsor products and gift certificates.
