Upon Pete's death in 2002, Jack Smith wrote "I first met Pete Orr in late 1997 or early 199."8 when he was working with B.J. McLeod. My first impression of the man was that this was a very special person. In my travels in and around stock car racing since then, in a sport and a business that has it's gritty side at times, Pete Orr has always stood out as an example of integrity and professionalism. We need to grow more racers like Pete Orr."
