Cold weather brought some fast times at the \u201cHigh Banks\u201d of Desoto Super Speedway. Those who braved the chilly temps were in store for a great night of exciting racing.<\/p>\n<p>Open Wheel Modifieds<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-850\" href=\"https:\/\/karnac.com\/flanews\/race-results\/rudd-dominates-open-wheel-35-lapper\/attachment\/rudd1\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-850\" title=\"rudd1\" src=\"https:\/\/karnac.com\/flanews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/rudd1-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In a field that boasted several Track champions it was Eric Rudd showed the way in the thirty five-lap feature event for the modified class. Rudd had fought an ill handling car all day and right before the feature made several adjustments that paid off.<\/p>\n<p>While Rudd was pulling away to almost a full straight away lead behind him the racing heated up. \u201cThe Rocketman\u201d Wayne Jefferson and \u201cThe Rocket\u201d Teddy Nelson were battling it out for the second spot.<\/p>\n<p>Several cautions would bunch the field but each time the green flew it would be Eric Rudd jumping out and pulling away and when the checkers flew it was Rudd taking the well deserved win. \u201cIt\u2019s always a good win when you can beat Jefferson,\u201d said Rudd in his post race interview.<\/p>\n<p>Second was Jefferson followed across the stripe was Nelson in third. Fourth was Sean McLaughlin and fifth Ralph Bowman.<\/p>\n<p>Jefferson took the win in the heat race.<\/p>\n<p>Q Auto and Injury Pure Stocks<\/p>\n<p>There were some tense moments during the Pure Stock feature. Chelsea Lau and Jamie Wilson were battling hard and as they came out of turn two both cars went head on into the wall. Wilson was ok but Lau had to make a trip to hospital. She was checked out and although sore she was deemed ok.<\/p>\n<p>When the green came back out it was Joshua Todd and Robert Crisp going at it for the top spot. The duo ran side by side for several laps until it was Todd sliding into the top spot and onto the win. Crisp would take second.
