{"id":7285,"date":"2011-07-06T18:05:29","date_gmt":"2011-07-06T18:05:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/karnac.com\/flanews\/?p=7285"},"modified":"2011-07-06T19:05:22","modified_gmt":"2011-07-06T19:05:22","slug":"bronson-speedway-sees-cars-on-the-track-for-the-fourth-of-july-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/karnac.com\/flanews\/tracks\/bronson-speedway-sees-cars-on-the-track-for-the-fourth-of-july-4\/","title":{"rendered":"BRONSON SPEEDWAY SEES CARS ON THE TRACK FOR THE FOURTH OF JULY"},"content":{"rendered":"<pre>From Dave Westerman\r\n<pre><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">After many months of inactivity, Bronson Speedway finally saw race cars<\/span><\/span>\r\n<span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">turning laps as several drivers took advantage of a special practice<\/span><\/span>\r\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">session held on the 4th of July Monday.<\/span><\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">Around 14 race teams took advantage of the opportunity to check<\/span><\/span>\r\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">out the<\/span> <span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">facility and get a few laps.  Open Wheel Modifieds, Legend<\/span><\/span>\r\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">Cars, Pure Stock<\/span> <span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">and Thunder Stock classes were represented and<\/span><\/span>\r\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">even a Figure 8 car was in<\/span> <span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">attendance.  The new ownership was<\/span><\/span>\r\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">pleased with the turnout on what obviously<\/span> <span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">was both short notice<\/span><\/span>\r\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">and a holiday as well.  What may have been even more<\/span> <span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">surprising<\/span><\/span>\r\n<span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">was a rather large turnout of fans who showed up to view the action<\/span><\/span>\r\n<span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">for free from the grandstands.<\/span><\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">A second open practice is scheduled for this coming Sunday,<\/span><\/span>\r\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">July 10th.  Pit<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">gates will open at 1PM with practice from 3-7PM.<\/span><\/span>\r\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">All cars must go through a<\/span> <span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">safety technical inspection before<\/span><\/span>\r\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">going on the speedway.  The schedule for<\/span> <span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">the remainder of 2011,<\/span><\/span>\r\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">classes that will be running, and rules will be<\/span> <span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">unveiled at this<\/span><\/span>\r\n<span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">practice.  Bronson Speedway's new Race Director and Tech<\/span><\/span>\r\n<span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Inspector will be available to speak with during this session as well.<\/span><\/span>\r\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">Once<\/span> <span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">again, the grandstands will be open free of charge to the<\/span><\/span>\r\n<span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">public.<\/span><\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">Three sets of rules have already been drawn up for competing<\/span><\/span>\r\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">classes and all<\/span> <span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">rules for all classes will be available by the July 10th<\/span><\/span>\r\n<span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman,serif;\">practice.
