{"id":4947,"date":"2011-02-15T05:54:11","date_gmt":"2011-02-15T05:54:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/karnac.com\/flanews\/?p=4947"},"modified":"2011-02-15T06:03:43","modified_gmt":"2011-02-15T06:03:43","slug":"4947","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/karnac.com\/flanews\/series\/4947\/","title":{"rendered":"USAC Non Wing Sprint Cars To Invade Ocala"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By Ocala Speedway Media<\/p>\n<p>OCALA, FL-\u00a0 This Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights, the  historic  Ocala Speedway will again resume 2011 Winternationals events with the   highly anticipated &#8220;Bubba Army Sprint Car Nationals&#8221; featuring the  exploits of  the USAC Amsoil National Sprint Car Series.<a rel=\"attachment wp-att-4952\" href=\"https:\/\/karnac.com\/flanews\/series\/4947\/attachment\/usacnonwingsprint\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-4952\" title=\"USACNonWingSprint\" src=\"https:\/\/karnac.com\/flanews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/USACNonWingSprint.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"180\" height=\"147\" \/><\/a> This week&#8217;s  events will mark the  first ever visit to Ocala by the series and the  non winged sprinters, and will  provide a totally different atmosphere  and style of racing than local and  regional fans may be used to  seeing.\u00a0 Also on tap will be high energy excitement  from the UMP Open  Wheel Modifieds, as they make the trip west from the other end  of the  National Forest to take on the southeast&#8217;s toughest 3\/8ths  mile.<\/p>\n<p>Ocala fans are used to seeing winged sprint cars flying around   the\u00a0track&#8217;s\u00a0confines, and the recent visit by the All Star Circuit of  Champions  is a prime example.\u00a0 Such racing series feature sprint cars  which rely on  downforce created by the huge wing on top for control and  the ability to adhere  to the clay.
