{"id":398,"date":"2010-02-06T03:07:57","date_gmt":"2010-02-06T03:07:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/karnac.com\/flanews\/?p=398"},"modified":"2010-02-06T03:07:57","modified_gmt":"2010-02-06T03:07:57","slug":"for-the-second-time-volusia-speedway-park-is-rained-out-february-5th","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/karnac.com\/flanews\/race-results\/for-the-second-time-volusia-speedway-park-is-rained-out-february-5th\/","title":{"rendered":"For the Second Time, Volusia Speedway Park is Rained Out February 5th"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>VSP MEDIA<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\u00a0Barberville, FL (February 5, 2010)\u00a0 For the second time since the 39th Annual DIRTcar Nationals started on February 2, Mother Nature has spoiled all fun and cancelled racing.<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>&#8220;We did our very best not to cancel tonight&#8217;s show,&#8221; said General Manager Tonya Moschell.\u00a0 &#8220;We had the radar on and kept watching but it just never got good enough to race.\u00a0 The rain looked to be letting up but there was another front behind it and racing tonight was just out of the question.&#8221;<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>&#8220;We knew East Bay had cancelled and then heard that New Smyrna Speedway had canceled and if we could have raced, we would have been the only track open tonight.\u00a0 But you win some, you lose some, and some get rained out.&#8221;<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>Racing will return Saturday night, February 6th, with the World of Outlaw Sprint Cars and the DIRTcar UMP Open Wheel Modifieds.\u00a0 General admission is $39.00 with racing action starting at 7:30 pm.\u00a0 Qualifying begins at 6 pm.\u00a0 Front gates open at 5 pm with the pit gate opening at noon.<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>With each general admission ticket you purchase, fans get a FREE FAN PIT PASS which allows you to get up close to the drivers and their cars in turns 1 and 2.\u00a0 Most of the World of Outlaw Sprint cars are in turns 1 and 2 and some DIRTcar Modifieds.\u00a0 Come and meet some of racing GREATEST at Volusia Speedway Park.<\/div>\n<div>Camping is allowed at Volusia Speedway Park with Track Side Preferred Motor Home Parking at $300 per week and campground parking at $25.00 per night. And if you can&#8217;t make it to Volusia, you can watch the racing live each night at DIRTVISION. com.<\/div>\n<div>Volusia Speedway Park is located 15 miles west of Ormond Beach, FL on State Road 40.
