On her qualifying lap, Owens piloted the No. 15\u00a0\u00a0<a title=\"http:\/\/electrifyingcareers.com\/\" href=\"http:\/\/electrifyingcareers.com\/\">ElectrifyingCareers.com<\/a>\u00a0Chevy around the 2.5-mile track in 50.227 seconds (179.186 mph), .652 seconds slower than pole sitter James Buesher. Although Owens was expecting a higher starting position, she is confident that her team is ready to perform tomorrow.<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>\u201cThe\u00a0<a title=\"http:\/\/electrifyingcareers.com\/\" href=\"http:\/\/electrifyingcareers.com\/\">ElectrifyingCareers.com<\/a>\u00a0Chevy was a lot faster in practice and testing than it was in qualifying,\u201d said Owens. \u201cI\u2019m not sure what made us slow down, but I know that we\u2019ve got a really good race car.\u00a0 I\u2019ve got four great teammates at Venturini Motorsports and we\u2019ll all work together to the front of the pack tomorrow.\u00a0 There\u2019s strength in numbers and we\u2019ve definitely got that on our side.\u00a0 It\u2019s not uncommon for someone to lead this race, then get shuffled to the back, then drive back to the front again, so starting in the middle of the pack isn\u2019t a big deal.\u00a0 It would have been nice to start in the front, but I know my car will drive well through traffic and can lead the charge.\u00a0 It\u2019s going to be a great race tomorrow.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>The Slick Mist 200 begins at 4:30 EST.
