Al Neumann's #4 driven by Todd Blevins<\/p><\/div>\n

A solid field of 20 Pro Trucks took the green flag at Punta Gorda Speedway Saturday night in a memorial race for ‘Big’ Al Neumann.\u00a0 Al was a fixture in Florida truck racing for many years in the familiar #4 .\u00a0\u00a0 Todd Blevins of St Petersburg drove the #4 in the race won by Josh Williams of Port Charlotte.\u00a0 Steven Darvalics set fast time in qualifying for the truck race.<\/p>\n

Al Neumann was one of the original Florida truck racers, moving from DeSoto Late Models to run with Bobby Diehl’s Fastruck Series.\u00a0 Al had a second place at Charlotte County in 2007 and then won the feature in October 2007 at DeSoto Speedway.<\/p>\n

Neumann appeared many times on KARNAC’s Racin Talk Radio and Real Racing USA shows. He did his last interview on Real Racin USA on October, 8, 2007 on the heels of his DeSoto win.\u00a0\u00a0 That interview is available at this link.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Randy Kile was back in the winners circle in the Road Warrior divisions, while Tim Simmons took the Champ Kart feature.<\/p>\n

John Bailey out ran Dwarf Car newcomer Rob Kohler to take the feature.<\/p>\n
