Also on the card are the Legend Cars, Street Stocks, V-8 Bombers, Mini Stocks, Bandoleros and the Kids Club.

The battle to see who will be the 2010 Truck champion comes down to the final race this weekend as young Tim Sozio of DeBary leads Valrico’s Jim Cowhey, Jr. by just four points headed into this week’s action. Brent Tyler is still mathematically in the hunt sitting in third spot just 20 points in back of Cowhey.

Veteran driver Dave Dunkin is close to adding a Sportsman championship to his long list of accomplishments at Auburndale Speedway. Dunkin, who has been racing since the invention of the wheel, holds a 34 point advantage over Mark Medeiros headed into their final race for the class this week.

With just two races remaining, the fight for the 2010 Legend Car title is a close one too. Gerald White, Jr. has closed to within 20 points of leader Jake Perkins placing a lot of pressure on these two youngsters as they hit the track this week. 2009 champion Justin Brown is third in points but some 98 behind White.

Jeff Waterman had a very bad week last week, not only ending up with a battered racecar but losing quite a bit of ground to point leader Matt McCrary in the Street Stock points battle. Although McCrary is up by 36 points, anything can still happen with two races left on the schedule including a

40-lap $500 to win season finale next week.

Both Kimberly Gullett (Scramblers) and Josh Borem (V-8 Bombers) wrapped up their 2010 championships last week. Gullett will have the week off this week but expect Borem to go for his sixth win of the season.

Mini Stock points wrapped up on October 9th but since then the hottest driver in the class has been Marilyn McCrary. She dropped out of the race after building up a healthly lead three weeks ago, but the last two events have seen her become a dominant force. She’ll go for a hat trick this week.

Pit gates open at 2PM Saturday and grandstand gates open at 5PM with racing beginning at 7PM. Adult admission is just $12 and seniors are $10. Kids aged

5-12 are $5 and all children aged 4 and under are free. Family four-packs (two adults and two kids aged 5-12) are $25. Once again, all veterans and current Military personnel with ID will be admitted free in honor of Veterans Day. For more information log on to www.auburndaleracing.com powered by Palm Tree Computers.

NOTES:

“Lindsey’s Little Racers” will give away bicycles number 31 and 32 to a pair of lucky kids this week. One of the bikes was purchased by Truck racer Jim Cowhey, Jr. and his wife Lauri who run All Compressor & Equipment in Tampa. Both Prize Packs this week will contain, among other things, an autographed photo of NASCAR Sprint Cup driver David Ragan. All kids aged ten and under will get a special ticket as they enter the speedway that will make them eligible to win the bikes and prize packs.

The season finale for the Modified Mini Stocks on November 20th will see the class going for 50 laps and $750 to win. Expect a nice-sized field to go at it for the extra cash on the line.

Plans are still being finalized for the big Crash N’ Bash on December 11th. Among the craziness will be the Florida State School Bus Figure 8 Championship and all Bus pilots are being challenged by the “locals” to come out and see iof they can beat them. The race already pays a nice $1,000 to win but more sponsors are being sought to make this an even bigger event. Contact the track if you are interested in a sponsorship for the biggest bus race of the year.

<span style="font-family: Courier
