Martin, Jr. Wins East Bay Sprints Feature"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>By:\u00a0 Jason Loughren<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>10\/30\/2010<\/p>\n<p>Halloween Eve brought around 100 cars to the track for a fun and freaky night of racing.\u00a0 The grandstand was packed with the young and some old in Halloween costumes.\u00a0 Over 50 drivers and teams distributed candy during the intermission as the goblins and ghosts ventured onto the racing surface.<\/p>\n<p>The Precision Kia of Wesley Chapel Street Stocks were first on the schedule as Donnie Reed won his 7<sup>th<\/sup> feature race of the season.\u00a0 Thomas Pratt held off James Hook to take the 2<sup>nd<\/sup> place finish.\u00a0 Hook finished 3<sup>rd<\/sup>.\u00a0\u00a0 Buck Woodhouse and Eric Moon rounded out the top-5.\u00a0 Roy Woodhouse and Clarence Pratt were victorious in the heats.<\/p>\n<p>The Outlaw 4\u2019s saw Matthew Haynes started 13<sup>th<\/sup> and win his series leading 9<sup>th<\/sup> race of the season.\u00a0 Billy Howard started 5<sup>th<\/sup> and finished 2<sup>nd<\/sup>.\u00a0 Chris Zimmerman finished 3<sup>rd<\/sup>.\u00a0 Jody Robbins finished 4<sup>th<\/sup> with a strong run from an 8<sup>th<\/sup> place starting position.\u00a0 Stephen Hohlbaugh rounded out the top-5.\u00a0 Hohlbaugh and Howard won the heat races.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In the Racecar Engineering Late Models Doug Horton started on the front row and led through numerous early cautions to take the win.\u00a0 It was the second win for Horton this season at the Clay by the Bay.\u00a0 Jack Nosbisch, Jr. started last in the field and finished 2<sup>nd<\/sup>.\u00a0 Perry Brown ran in the top 5 all night long and finished 3<sup>rd<\/sup>.\u00a0 Travis Varnadore finished 4<sup>th<\/sup>.\u00a0 Doug Watson started on the pole and finished 5<sup>th<\/sup>.\u00a0 David Schmauss, Brown, and Bryan Bernhardt won the heat races.<\/p>\n<p>The East Bay Sprints were in action for their 15 lap feature even Danny Martin, Jr. picked up his third win of the season after leading the event flag to flag.\u00a0 Danny Martin, Jr. commented in victory lane that a fuel line became detached in the driver\u2019s compartment of the car and that\u00a0 he was able to hold it with one hand and drive the car with his free hand.\u00a0 Tim George finished 2<sup>nd<\/sup>.\u00a0 Stephen Darvalics finished 3<sup>rd<\/sup>.\u00a0 Gene Lasker and Bill Boyd rounded out the top-5.\u00a0 \u00a0Darvalics, Rocky Sullivan and Martin, Jr. won the heats.<\/p>\n<p>The Motorstats.com 4 cylinder bombers Michael Eaton picked up his second win in a row and third win of the year.\u00a0 Johnnie Alexander finished 2<sup>nd<\/sup> after starting 5<sup>th<\/sup>.\u00a0 Henry Burnside finished 3<sup>rd<\/sup>.\u00a0 Troy Dittebrand and George Handy rounded out the top-5.\u00a0 Raymond Van, Eaton and \u00a0\u00a0Alexander were victorious in the heats.\u00a0 Robert Purcell, Robert Kissam and Patrick Fiore, Sr. raced into the A- Main feature event for the Motorstats.com 4 cylinder bombers via top 3 finishes in the B-Main event.<\/p>\n<p>ASA Sanctioned racing returns to East Bay Raceway Park on Saturday, October 6, 2010 with the Racecar
