at<\/span> CITRUS COUNTY SPEEDWAY<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
Bakersfield, C<\/span>A (<\/span>December 2<\/span>2<\/span>, 2021<\/span>)<\/span> \u2013<\/span> For 2022,<\/span> the SRL, the west coast sanctioning<\/span>
body for Super Late Model racing<\/span> has<\/span> expand<\/span>ed<\/span> its<\/span> operation<\/span> to sanction Super Late<\/span>
Model events<\/span> east of the Missisppi<\/span>.<\/span> Ricky Brooks, Larry Collins and Brian Olsen will<\/span>
head up the SRL\u2019s new<\/span> operation which will host it\u2019s first race of the new year at Citrus<\/span>
County Speedway on Saturday, February 12<\/span>th<\/span>, featuring a<\/span> 125 lap,<\/span> $15,000 to win<\/span>
Super Late Model event.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
With two events already planned at Berlin Raceway<\/span> in Marne, Michigan<\/span> for the SRL,<\/span>
now Citrus County<\/span> Speedway in I<\/span>n<\/span>ve<\/span>r<\/span>ness, Florida<\/span> and three more in the works, the<\/span>
SRL is quickly meeting it\u2019s g<\/span>oal<\/span> for<\/span> 2022.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
\u201cIt\u2019s been a great start with the number of racetracks reaching out to us to see if we<\/span>
have dates available for 2022,\u201d stated Brooks. \u201cWith only six races in the plan for 2022,<\/span>
we just need to figure out what events are the best match for u<\/span>s, and we feel really good<\/span>
about our progress so far and look forward to our first event at Citrus<\/span> in February<\/span>.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span>
Since 2001, the SRL has been<\/span> sanctioning and<\/span> managing short track events in the<\/span>
southwest region. From<\/span> its<\/span> modest<\/span> beginnings, the SRL has gro<\/span>wn to be the premier<\/span>
sanctioning body in short track racing on the west coast, with three series competing at<\/span>
the<\/span> region\u2019s<\/span> top short tracks, with national television coverage of all<\/span> of its<\/span> events.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
Citrus<\/span> County<\/span> will be a one day show on Saturday, February<\/span> 12<\/span>th<\/span>, with an open practice<\/span>
on Friday. The 1<\/span>25<\/span> lap Super Late Model race will pay $15,000 to<\/span> win<\/span> and will pay at<\/span>
least<\/span> $1,000<\/span> to start.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
