Carnesville, GA \u2013<\/b><\/span> <\/span>Movieland Speedpark in Chandler, IN <\/span>will be FASTRAK weekly sanctioned for the Pro Late Models in 2019. The track, which is being operated by Reno Fontana will open with a test and tune on April 12, with the first racing night slated for April 19. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI was born and raised in the Chandler area,\u201d said Fontana, \u201cI won my first bracket race at the dragstrip when I was 16 years old and my first victory at the dirt oval came in 1970 at the age of 17. So when the chance to buy the Chandler track presented itself, <\/span>I jumped, and here I am today as the new owner.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fontana, now residing in Southern California, has plans to turn the now \u201cMovieland Speedpark\u201d into one of the finest community centers in the Tri-State area, with plans that span beyond motorsports. <\/span><\/p>\n

The FASTRAK Pro Late Models will run on Friday nights at the 3\/8th<\/sup> <\/span>mile oval in 2019. Teams will have the opportunity to race for the $5,000 to win FASTRAK VP Racing Fuels National Weekly Championship. Drivers who become FASTRAK members and compete <\/span>in a minimum of 10 races will be eligible for the 2019 FASTRAK World Challenge at Beckley Motorsports Park on October 5th<\/sup> <\/span>and 6th<\/sup>. The newly formatted FASTRAK World Championship will pay $2,000 to win on Friday and $5,000 to win on Saturday <\/span>along with a $5,000 to win points fund for the top 10 drivers through the two nights. Additionally, drivers at Movieland Speedpark will compete for a FASTRAK Divisional Championship, which has $1,000 in point money per track within the division. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBuilding this class in the tri-state area is our main focus,\u201d said FASTRAK Executive Vice President DJ Irvine, \u201cFASTRAK offers a host of benefits to the drivers and great championship point funds to compete for. I\u2019m truly excited about Movieland Speedpark <\/span>joining the FASTRAK family.\u201d<\/p>\n

FASTRAK members also receive $100,000 of participant accident medical insurance through Mutual of Omaha, which is included in their membership. Additional crew members can be added to the policy for just $20 per year. FASTRAK hosts a first-class Night of Champions <\/span>banquet each year to honor all champions from the previous year. This year\u2019s banquet was in Kingsport, TN. <\/span><\/p>\n

The 2019 FASTRAK World Championship will pay $50,000 to win and $2,050 to start at Virginia Motor Speedway on September 13th<\/sup> <\/span>and 14th<\/sup>. The race is the single richest Chevrolet Performance Late Model race in the history of the class. The <\/span>FASTRAK World Championship will also be broadcasted tape-delayed on MavTV and available as pay-per-view on <\/span>Speed51.com<\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n
