Airy, NC drove the T&amp;K Enterprises Rocket to a $2,000 victory on Saturday night in the 40-lap 2017 season opener for the FASTRAK Pro Late Model Series South East Region at Toccoa Raceway. Hicks was the Group 1 Fast Qualifier with a time of 13.090 seconds, the first ten-lap Heat Race winner, and led all 40 laps of the main event to get the sweep.<\/p>\n<p>Hicks had to hold off the defending FASTRAK SE Champion Cla Knight of North Augusta, SC to post the win. Knight had to settle for second in the Augusta Aquatics Longhorn. Colby Cannon took the third spot, and Kenny Collins of Colbert, GA drove to a fourth-place finish.<\/p>\n<p>Forrest Trent of Talbott, TN finished fifth in the Service 101 Rocket. Trent was the overall Fast Qualifier of the event, topping Group 2 qualifiers with a lap around Toccoa Raceway in 12.953 seconds. Trent followed that up with a victory in the second ten-lap Heat Race to earn the outside front row starting spot for the 40-lap Main Event.<\/p>\n<p>Jensen Ford of Piney Flats, TN was sixth in the Tim Byrd Motorsports TNT, and Tyler Arrington of Rural Retreat, VA took the seventh spot. Ron Parker of Belwood, NC drove the Schaefer Oil Rocket to an eighth-place finish, and Frankie Beard of Hartwell, GA finished ninth in the Jessica Cornett Racing Mastersbilt.
