His son\u2019s Shane, Joey and Rusty all followed their father\u2019s footsteps and are very actively involved in all different forms of racing,<\/p>\n<p>The Southern All Stars have raced two times at the 3\/8ths mile and that was in 1987 when Mike Head of Ellenwood, GA., took the win and in 1985 when another Georgia dirt late model Hall of Famer Leon Archer of Griffin, GA., took the win.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The series will come in this Saturday night\u2019s race with a tie at the top of the point standings and three time series champion Riley Hickman and new comer Brad Skinner of Spring Hill, TN., are tied for the top spot with Jim Rogers of Statesboro, GA., third, these drivers will be in action along with Dylan Ames of Harvest, AL., Jason Hiett of Oxford, AL., Shane Clanton of Zebulon, GA., Clint Smith of Senoia, GA., Joe Armistead of Senoia, GA., Brian Reese of Sharpsburg, GA., Russell Brown Jr of Valdosta, GA., plus many more from across the southeast.<br \/>\nPractice and Racing Schedule and Information for May 13 and May 14, 2016:<br \/>\nFriday, May 13th &#8211; Open Practice (ALL DIVISIONS)<\/p>\n<p>Pits Open at 5pm.<br \/>\nPractice from 7pm to 10pm.<br \/>\nPit Passes &#8211; $20<br \/>\nGrandstand Admission &#8211; FREE<\/p>\n<p>Saturday, May 14th &#8211; 2nd Annual Billy Clanton Classic Pits Open at 4pm.
