Wing\" src=\"https:\/\/karnac.com\/flanews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/R.-Wing.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"449\" height=\"320\" srcset=\"https:\/\/karnac.com\/flanews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/R.-Wing-240x172.jpg 240w, https:\/\/karnac.com\/flanews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/R.-Wing.jpg 449w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 449px) 100vw, 449px\" \/><\/a>TAMPA, FL\u2026\u20261\/28\/10\u2026..Instead of coming from 19<sup>th<\/sup> starting position up to second as he did the night before, Rodney Wing started on pole and dominated the field of 24 cars to win $1,500 in night three of East Bay Raceway Park\u2019s 11<sup>th<\/sup> Annual Open Wheel Modified Winternationals Thursday night at Tampa, Florida.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI guess you could say, it\u2019s been a great year for me,\u201d the Meridian, Mississippi driver and track owner of Whynot Motorsports Park said.\u00a0 \u201cThe RPM Workshop nominated me as one of the country\u2019s eight Regional Promoters of the Year, Red Clay magazine named Whynot the Track-of-the-Year and the NeSmith series named me Promoter of the Year.\u201d<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Tonight, Wing piloted the No. 33x back-up car of Jeff Mathews to a convincing 25-lap win, leading all laps.\u00a0 The Larry Shaw chassis powered by an R.D.
