\"SASFAYETTEVILLE, TN\u2014The Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series has announced tow more dates for the Memorial Day Weekend Shootout\u00a0on Friday\u00a0&\u00a0Saturday\u00a0night May 23rd<\/sup>\u00a0& 24th<\/sup>\u00a0with a pair of $4,000 to win events at the Thunderhill Raceway in Summertown, TN., and the Tennessee National Raceway in Hohenwald, TN.<\/p>\n

Friday\u00a0nigh May 23rd<\/sup>\u00a0the series will return to the high banks of Thunderhill Raceway in Summertown, TN., located just north of Lawrenceburg, TN., for a 40 lap $4,000 to win event.\u00a0 It will be the first return of the Southern All Star Dirt Racing Series since 2001 when Byron Michaels of Florence, AL., captured the win in a May race and the only other appearance of the series in August of 1992 when Johnny Williams of Lexington, TN., took home the win.\u00a0 The race at Thunderhill will all be contingent that all the remodeling that has begun at the track will be completed by then, if not the race will be moved to another date later in the year.<\/p>\n

Then\u00a0on Saturday\u00a0night May 24th<\/sup>\u00a0the series will head into the Tennessee National Raceway in Hohenwald, TN., for another 40 lap $4,000 to win event.\u00a0 The series has ran three races in the past at the west Tennessee oval from 1991-1993 with Southern All Star veterans, Mike of Ellenwood, GA., winning in \u201991, Rex Richey of Ringgold, GA., taking wins in \u201992 and \u201993.<\/p>\n

This should be one great weekend of racing as it has been over 20 years since the series last raced at these tracks and should attract some of the top names from the area as well as many drivers across the southeast.<\/p>\n
