The Eagle Jet \/ Top Gun Sprints made their first visit of\u00a0 2013 to Volusia Speedway Park on Saturday July 27, 2010. There were 21 cars at\u00a0 the track to give fans three heat races and a 25 lap feature\u00a0 race.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\n

Bruce Durden in the 98 car had the pole for the start of\u00a0 the BROWN & MILLER heat race. Bruce took the lead on the start, and then it\u00a0 was Danny Martin got around him for the win. The 3T of Johnny Alexander had the\u00a0 pole for the start of the DMI heat race with Tony Agin in the 38 car on the\u00a0 outside. It was the 38 that made the better start and took the race lead and led\u00a0 from start to finish taking the heat win. Billy Boyd in the 9 car had the pole\u00a0 for the start of the LUCAS OIL heat race, Billy took the lead and the heat win. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The 9 of Billy Boyd had the pole for the start of the\u00a0 BARFIELD feature race event, with the 38 of Tony Agin alongside. As the cars\u00a0 were being started the 38 of Tony Agin made 1 lap then he lost rear brake\u00a0 caliper, ending his night. That then gave outside pole to the 24 of Danny\u00a0 Martin. After a parade lap, the race went to green and it was Danny Martin in\u00a0 the 24 car that took the lead. The first caution of the night came on lap 21\u00a0 when the 36 car driven by Ken Laureno stopped with mechanical problems and was\u00a0 took to infield. The race got back to green with the 24 of Danny Martin out\u00a0 front and never looked backed and took the checkered flag, followed by Mark Ruel\u00a0 Jr. in the 83 car, Matt Kurtz in the 82 car, Shane Kreidler in the 52 car, and\u00a0 Robbie Smith in the 6S car rounding out the top 5. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
