Fayetteville, TN- August 4, 2013- The Southern All Star Racing Series will visit a pair of new venues for the tour with the Georgia Madness doubleheader weekend at Albany Motor Speedway in Albany, GA on\u00a0Friday August 9\u00a0and Needmore Speedway in Norman Park, GA on\u00a0Saturday August 10.\u00a0 Both events will be 40 laps in distance and pay the winner $4,000 for their efforts and pay $300 to start at each event.<\/p>\n
The Southern All Star Racing Series event at Albany Motor Speedway on\u00a0Friday August 9\u00a0will feature a complete program of practice, WhitePerformance.com A-B Group Time Trials, PPM Racing Products Last Chance Showdowns, and will conclude with the 40 lap, $4,000 to win Georgia Madness A-Main.\u00a0 Support divisions set to join the Southern All Star Racing Series in action at Albany Motor Speedway on\u00a0Friday August 9\u00a0will be the track\u2019s Limited Late Model and Enduro divisions.\u00a0 Albany Motor Speedway will also have an open practice for all competitors\u00a0on Thursday\u00a0evening\u00a0August 8 from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.\u00a0and all drivers are invited.\u00a0 Also, all Super Late Models in competition at Albany Motor Speedway on\u00a0Friday August 9\u00a0must be equipped with mufflers per track rules.<\/p>\n

Among those expected from the Southern All Star Racing Series stable of drivers include series points leader Riley Hickman of Chattanooga, TN, Mike Weeks of Friendsville, TN, Jason Hiett of Oxford, AL, Mark Rosner of Rockford, TN, Bret Holmes of Munford, AL, Billy Ogle, Jr. of Knoxville, TN, Mark Vineyard of Powell, TN, along with a strong array of talented local and regional racing stars such as Cale Simons of Albany, GA, Kelly Walker of Moultrie, GA, Brandon Dewitt of Barney, GA, Russell Brown, Jr. of Valdosta, GA, Adam Giles of Moultrie, GA, Jason Fitzgerald of Middleburg, FL, Ivadent Lloyd of Ocala, FL, Casey Barrow of Savannah, GA, Chesley Dixon of Swainsboro, GA plus many more are expected.\u00a0 The tour has presented thirteen events already in 2013 and the tour has seen nine different drivers visit victory with the series this season.<\/p>\n
