\"Tazwell\"Fayetteville, TN- June 25, 2013- The Southern All Star Racing Series will begin the month on July at one of America\u2019s fastest speed-plants as the tour visits Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, TN\u00a0on Wednesday\u00a0evening\u00a0July 3\u00a0for the Summer Sizzler, which will pay $4,000 to win for the 40 lap mad dash around the ultra-high banked \u201cBad Fast Taz\u201d. \u00a0Tazewell Speedway track promoter Gary Hall and the Southern All Star Racing Series invites everyone out for a great night of racing, huge fireworks display, and a great evening of fellowship together to help celebrate America\u2019s 237th birthday.<\/p>\n

Also, besides the great racing action and huge fireworks show, Tazewell Speedway and the Southern All Star Racing Series will be hosting a special drivers autograph session prior to racing action getting started on Wednesday July 3. \u00a0The drivers autograph session will begin at\u00a07:30\u00a0and last until practice laps are set to begin at\u00a08:00 p.m.\u00a0Also, in the event of inclement weather, track promoter Gary Hall has confirmed that the Summer Sizzler event would take place on\u00a0Friday July 5.<\/p>\n

The Southern All Star Racing Series event at Tazewell Speedway on Wednesday July 3 will feature a complete program of practice,\u00a0WhitePerformance.com<\/a>\u00a0A-B Group Time Trials, PPM Racing Products Last Chance Showdowns, and will conclude with the 40 lap, $4,000 to win Summer Sizzler A-Main. \u00a0Joining the Southern All Star Racing Series in action at Tazewell Speedway on Wednesday July 3 will be the track\u2019s Late Model Sportsman, Modified Street, Classics, Four Cylinder, and Street Stock divisions, along with the special meet and greet with the Super Late Model competitors at Tazewell Speedway as there will be a driver\u2019s autograph session at\u00a07:30 p.m.\u00a0that evening in the general admission area.<\/p>\n

The visit by the Southern All Star Racing Series to Tazewell Speedway on Wednesday July 3 will be the tour\u2019s second visit at the East Tennessee facility in 2013, with Billy Ogle, Jr. being credited with the win in the previous series visit on\u00a0April 6\u00a0this season. \u00a0It will mark the 14th series visit by the Southern All Star Racing Series to Tazewell Speedway, with the high-speed racing action at the track producing nine different series winners. \u00a0Duayne Hommel of Newport, TN, Billy Ogle, Jr. of Knoxville, TN, Jimmy Owens of Newport, TN, and the late Scott Sexton of Pigeon Forge, TN have been the only repeat winners in SAS racing competition at Tazewell Speedway, with that quartet of racers each owning two victories each.<\/p>\n

Among those expected from the Southern All Star Racing Series stable of drivers include series points leader Riley Hickman of Chattanooga, TN, Mike Weeks of Friendsville, TN, Jason Hiett of Oxford, AL, Mark Rosner of Rockford, TN, Bret Holmes of Munford, AL, Billy Ogle, Jr. of Knoxville, TN, Mark Vineyard of Powell, TN, Randy Weaver of Crossville, TN, and Bo Shirley of Gadsden, AL, along with a strong array of talented local and regional racing stars such as Stacy Boles of Clinton, TN, Mark Douglas of Knoxville, TN, Jeff Wolfenbarger of Clinton, TN, Josh Collins of Knoxville, TN, Tommy Kerr of Maryville, TN, Steve Smith of Powell, TN, Vic Hill of Mosheim, TN, Josh Henry of Newport, TN, Kayne Hickman of Soddy Daisy, TN, Bryan Hendrix of Knoxville, TN, Jason Trammell of Powell, TN, \u00a0plus many more are expected. \u00a0The tour has presented nine events so far in 2013 and has seen six different drivers visit victory with the series this season.<\/p>\n

Activities for the Southern All Star Racing Series Summer Sizzler event at Tazewell Speedway on Wednesday July 3 will see the pit area and general admission open at\u00a05:00 p.m., with the drivers meeting will be at\u00a07:00 p.m.\u00a0and drivers autograph session at\u00a07:30 p.m., with practice laps set to begin at\u00a08:00 p.m., followed immediately by time trials and green flag racing. \u00a0All times listed are Eastern Daylight Time. \u00a0Ticket prices for the Summer Sizzler event at Tazewell Speedway in the general admission area will be $18 for adults, while a pit pass will be $30.<\/p>\n
