Busy Stretch Will See Circuit Run Six Races In Five States & One Canadian Province Over Eight Days<\/em><\/strong>\"20130610-230435.jpg\"<\/a>CONCORD, NC \u2013 June 10, 2013 \u2013 The World of Outlaws Late Model Series \u2018Wild West Tour\u2019 will kick off on Fri., July 5, at Amsoil Speedway in Superior, Wis., series officials announced on Monday.<\/p>\n

Confirmation of the date at the Badger State track completes the schedule of the national dirt Late Model circuit\u2019s busy Wild West Tour, which over an eight-day span after the Fourth of July holiday will contest six races at tracks in five states and one Canadian province.<\/p>\n

A three-eighths-mile oval that presents weekly Friday-night racing, Amsoil Speedway will host a 50-lap WoO LMS A-Main paying $10,000 to win. The event will mark the tour\u2019s first visit to the track since 2010 when Jimmy Mars of Menomonie, Wis., emerged victorious.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re excited to bring the World of Outlaws Late Model Series back to Amsoil Speedway,\u201d said speedway promoter Joe Stariha. \u201cWe were looking forward to having the World of Outlaws come to town last year, but unfortunately the show was canceled because of rain. Hopefully we\u2019ll have some good weather this year and the fans will see a great race.\u201d<\/p>\n

Amsoil Speedway\u2019s gates are scheduled to open on July 5 at 4 p.m. Hot laps will begin at 6:30 p.m. and qualifying will get the green flag at 7 p.m.<\/p>\n

After Amsoil Speedway\u2019s event, the WoO LMS Wild West Tour will march on to Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minn., on Sat., July 6; Black Hills Speedway in Rapid City, S.D., on Mon., July 8; Gillette (Wyo.) Thunder Speedway on Tues., July 9; Red River Co-op Speedway in Winnipeg, Manitoba, on Thurs., July 11; and River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, N.D., on Fri., July 12.<\/p>\n

All events during the Wild West Tour will be co-sanctioned by DIRTcar UMP and use a Hoosier tire rule mandating only 20-, 30-, 40- and 55-compound rubber.<\/p>\n
