It was another great Saturday night for racing at the Clay by the Bay.\u00a0 The heat index was around 100 degrees and there were around 100 cars signed in ready to race.\u00a0 With the start of June comes the summer stretch of racing where points championships can be won or lost.\u00a0 There were 4 great classes of racing on hand for the festivities.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Outlaw 4\u2019s hit the track first.\u00a0 Billy Howard used a last lap pass to take the win from Mathew Haynes.\u00a0 The win was Howard\u2019s third win of the season.\u00a0 Haynes finished 2nd<\/sup>.\u00a0 Jessie Brown earned his second top-5 of the season with a 3rd<\/sup> place finish.\u00a0 Larry Stepp and\u00a0 Steven Hohlbaugh rounded out the top-5.\u00a0 Howard and Chris Zimmerman won the heat race.<\/p>\n

In the Gagel\u2019s Open Wheel Modified 15 lap feature event John Bradley started on the front row and dominated the feature event leading from flag to flag.\u00a0 The win was Bradley\u2019s 2nd<\/sup> in a row and 2nd<\/sup> of the season.\u00a0 Austin Sanders had a strong run and battled to a 2nd<\/sup> place finish.\u00a0 Roger Crouse started 3rd<\/sup> and finished 3rd<\/sup>.\u00a0 Bobby Dixon finished 4th<\/sup>.\u00a0 Garret Stewart started 10th<\/sup> and finished 5th<\/sup>.\u00a0\u00a0 Sanders and Dixon were victorious in the heat races.<\/p>\n

In the Racecar Engineering Late Models Brian Bernhardt won his second Racecar Engineering Late Model Feature event in a row.\u00a0 Bernhardt started back in the 10th<\/sup> place and quickly made his way using the outside line to the lead.\u00a0 David Schmauss started 6th<\/sup> and finished 2nd<\/sup>.\u00a0 Travis Varnadore started 10th<\/sup> and finished 3rd<\/sup>.\u00a0 Steve Miller finished 4th<\/sup>.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0Paul Gibbs rounded out the top-5 with a strong run.\u00a0 Bernhardt, Jimmy Waldrop and Schmauss won the heats.<\/p>\n

The Motorstats.com 4 cylinder bombers were back in action after a weekend off as 28 cars took the green flag in their 15 lap feature event.\u00a0\u00a0 Patrick Tabb, Jr. held off Troy Dittebrand for the what appeared to be a win in exciting fashion.\u00a0 Tabb, Jr. and Dittebrand were DQ\u2019d in post race inspection for not having owner manuals with their vehicles.\u00a0 The DQ\u2019s gave the win to Mathew Odell which was his first of the year.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0Kever Raulerson was a credited with 2nd<\/sup> place.\u00a0 Robert Purcell started 27th<\/sup> and finished 3rd<\/sup>.\u00a0 Darrell Taylor finished 4th<\/sup>.\u00a0 Jimmy Odell rounded out the top-5.\u00a0 Dittebrand, Darrell Taylor and Johnnie Alexander won the heat races.<\/p>\n

Steve Ashmore won the Fan Participation Races at intermission.<\/p>\n
