Monroe, LA (June 4, 2010)\u00a0 Donald Wayne Goodman,\u00a0 Monroe Motor Speedway Late Model driver, was laid to rest today at the Chase Baptist Church.\u00a0 Goodman, who drove the #602 Late Model was leading the points at the time of his death last weekend.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, June 6, Monroe Motor Speedway will hold a “Reflection of Donald Wayne Goodman” at dusk.\u00a0 All drivers, fans, track personnel are invited to come and share their memories of this beloved man.<\/p>\n

On Saturday night, June 5th, the Goodman family will be at the Speedway for racing.\u00a0 This is not the easiest thing for the family to do but Donald loved racing and he loved Monroe Motor Speedway.\u00a0 Mrs. Goodman said “there is no other place we rather be than at the track Saturday night.”<\/p>\n

Next Saturday, all Late Model drivers will be off at Monroe Motor Speedway, as they head to Houston Motorsports Park and the “Donald Goodman 50”.\u00a0\u00a0 This is the NASCAR Fiesta Late Model race at the complex.

Plus don’t forget, ALL Late Models are off next Saturday, June 12th, for the “Donald Goodman 50” at Houston Motorsports Park.<\/p>\n
