With dark skies looming the racing action started with the threat of the rain that many of the fans drove through to arrive at the track.\u00a0 As the early part of the racing program continued on the blue sky came out and provided us with a great night for racing at East Bay Raceway Park.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Gagel\u2019s Open Wheel Modifieds hit the track first with their 15-lap feature event.\u00a0 John Bradley used an early pass to take the lead and hold on for the win.\u00a0 The win was Bradley\u2019s first win of the season in the class.\u00a0 Roger Crouse ran strong and challenged for the lead but finished 2nd.\u00a0 Austin Sanders started 3rd and finished 3rd.\u00a0 Kevin Bryant and Shane Burrows rounded out the top-5.\u00a0 Bryant was victorious in the heat race.<\/p>\n

In the Limited Late Models Forrest Gough dominated the fifteen lap feature event\u00a0 take his first win of the season.\u00a0 Gough started started 6th and used an outside power move on JR Prather, Jr. to take the win.\u00a0 Prather, Jr. finished 2nd.\u00a0 Tommy Evonosky, Sr. finsished 3rd.\u00a0 Bob Peterson started 4th and finished 4th.\u00a0 Jason Pope was the mover of the evening as he started 10th and finished 5th.\u00a0 Gough and Tim Powers won the heat races.<\/p>\n

In the Precision Kia of Wesley Chapel Street Stocks Eric Moon took the win after numerous restarts.\u00a0 On those restarts Moon had to hold off Donnie Reed and Thomas Pratt.\u00a0 Moon was a former crew member for Donnie Reed.\u00a0 Reed finished 2nd.\u00a0 The points leader coming into the evening Thomas Pratt finished 3rd.\u00a0 Jarod Gay and Clarence Pratt rounded out the top-5. Moon and Collin Kruse were victorious in the heats.<\/p>\n

The Racecar Engineering Late Models were back for a 25 lap main event that saw Brian Bernhardt hold off Travis Varnadore on multiple late restarts to pick up his first feature win of the season.\u00a0 Varnadore finished 2nd.\u00a0\u00a0 Phillip Cobb started 4th and finished 3rd.\u00a0 Wallace Peacock finished 4th.\u00a0 John Koller started 10th and finished 5th for his first top 10 of the season.\u00a0 Berhardt and Ryan Mitchell won the heat races.<\/p>\n

The Outlaw 4\u2019s closed out the racing program for the night with their 15 lap feature event.\u00a0 Like he did in the heat race Matthew Haynes won the feature event leading flag to flag.\u00a0 Haynes was able to hold off a late charge from Billy Howard to earn the victory.\u00a0 The win was Haynes\u2019 series leading 5th of the season.\u00a0 Howard finished 2nd.\u00a0 Jesse Brown started 3rd and finished 3rd.\u00a0 Roberto Morfin, Jr. finished 4th which was his first top 10 of the season.\u00a0 Jessica Robbins rounded out the top-5.\u00a0 Haynes won the heat race.<\/p>\n
