Weaver\u2019s first win came on June 23<sup>rd<\/sup> during the Inaugural B.J. Parker Memorial when he rallied from a 12<sup>th<\/sup> starting spot to capture the $3,500 victory. Then on July 28<sup>th<\/sup>, he came from his fourth starting spot to capture the 15<sup>th<\/sup> Annual Michael Head Jr. Memorial event win and $3,500.<\/p>\n<p>This weekend, the SAS rolls back into TST as the track presents their second weekend of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Weekend specials in conjunction with Talladega Super Speedway next door. The track will host an un-sanctioned $2,000 to win event on Friday Night October 5<sup>th<\/sup> then the SAS drivers will do battle on Saturday Night October 6<sup>th<\/sup> paying $3,500 to win \/ $300 to start the 40-lap event. This is the series\u2019 fourth and final visit of the season. William Thomas of Phenix City, AL won the series\u2019 previous NASCAR weekend visit on May 5<sup>th<\/sup> in another exciting battle.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>On Friday October 5<sup>th<\/sup> for the un-sanctioned special, the gates will swing open at 9:00 a.m. with Grandstand gates opening at 3:00 p.m. and Drivers Meeting at 5:45 p.m. then Hot Laps are slated for 6:00 p.m. all times CDT. Adult General Admission is $20 while Pit Passes are $25.<\/p>\n<p>On Saturday October 6<sup>th<\/sup> for the Southern All Stars special, the gates will swing open at 9:00 a.m. with Grandstand gates opening at 3:00 p.m. and Drivers Meeting at 5:45 p.m. then Hot Laps are slated for 6:00 p.m. all times CDT. The Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series entry fee is $100.<\/p>\n<p>Each night, the Crate Late Models, Sportsman, Thunder Cars, Hot Shots and Street Stocks will compete on the racing card.<\/p>\n<p>During the series\u2019 last event at Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, TN, Billy Ogle Jr. of Knoxville, TN continued his hot-streak claiming his third-straight SAS victory of the season over hard-charging Riley Hickman, David Crabtree, Florida\u2019s Dillon Wood and Vic Hill. 2011 Daytona 500 Champion and current NASCAR Driver for the famed Wood Brothers # 21 Ford Trevor Bayne of Knoxville, TN competed in his first-ever SAS event in just his third Super Late Model outing at Smoky Mountain finishing a respectable ninth.
