Sheppard, Britten, Dunn among Drivers to Appear<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Y. \u2013 September 4, 2012 \u2013 They may be at home on the track, but on Monday, Sept. 10, the Big-Block Modifieds of the Super DIRTcar Series take to the streets \u2013 the streets of downtown Syracuse. Starting 11:30 a.m. at the new Destiny USA, formerly Carousel Center, a parade of 800-plus horsepower Big-Block machines will rumble through the streets of downtown Syracuse.<\/p>\n

This unique sight of Big-Block Modifieds maneuvering the city square debuts the vehicles in the Salt City before their return to the city for the 41 st<\/sup> annual NAPA Auto Parts Super DIRT Week, Wednesday, Oct. 3, through Sunday, Oct. 7.<\/p>\n

The thundering procession, which will include the Number One Speed Equipment, Finger Lakes Auto Machine powered and Bicknell chassis 49 of Billy Dunn, the JB Motorsports 9s FX Caprara Car Co.\/Xtreme Lubricants\/Bicknell car of two-time defending Super DIRTcar Series champion Matt Sheppard, the 21a JBR Motorsports\/Troyer of three-time Australian V8 Dirt Modified Series champion Pete Britten, and the Official Pace Car for NAPA Auto Parts Super DIRT Week XLI, continue on Solar, Clinton and West Jefferson Streets, past the Museum of Science and Technology. From there, the pace car will lead the Big-Block Modifieds along Adams Street, South State Street, Erie Boulevard, Oswego Street and James Street to return to Destiny USA.<\/p>\n

Super DIRT Week showcases Big-Block Modified action at the New York State Fairgrounds\u2019 \u201cMoody Mile\u201d during Friday\u2019s Triple 20s \u201cUnder the Lights\u201d Oct. 5 and Sunday\u2019s 2 p.m. Super DIRTcar Series VP Small Engine Fuels 200 Oct. 7. Additionally, the Big-Block Modifieds appear in the final qualifying event Saturday, Oct. 6, for the VP 200, the popular \u201cWin and You\u2019re In,\u201d at Rolling Wheels Raceway Park, Route 5 in Elbridge. The premier short-track dirt racing series of the Northeast region, the DIRTcar 358-Modified Series, the DIRTcar Sportsman Modified Series, and the DIRTcar Pro Stock Series, will also make appearances at the fairgrounds in Syracuse for NAPA Auto Parts Super DIRT Week XLI, each with season championship races scheduled.<\/p>\n
