Kevin Ramsell\/ASA Racing PR –\u00a0DAYTONA BEACH, FL (Tuesday, August 28, 2012) \u2013 The upcoming Labor Day Weekend holiday will provide a great opportunity for race fans to attend an ASA sanctioned event.\u00a0 Many ASA Member Tracks and two ASA sanctioned series have scheduled events for this weekend.<\/p>\n
Here is a preview of what is happening this weekend.<\/p>\n
ASA PROAUTOSPORTS<\/strong> \u2013 After a summer break, ASA\u2019s premier road course series will be in action on Friday, August 31 through Sunday, September 2 at Inde Motorsports Ranch, an ASA Member Track in Wilcox, AZ.\u00a0 Over 150 cars will be in action from go-karts, open wheel, and stock cars will be racing all weekend long.\u00a0 Action gets underway at 12:30pm on Friday and 8:00am on Saturday & Sunday. \u00a0www.proautosports.com<\/a><\/p>\n ASA TRUCK SERIES<\/strong> \u2013 They also are returning to action after a break this Sunday night at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.\u00a0 Jeremiah Wagner comes into the event with a 24-point lead over Cole Loftsgard.\u00a0 Defending ASA Truck Series Champion Taylor Miinch is looking for his fourth win in a row and move himself closer to Wagner\u2019s point lead.\u00a0 The action gets underway at 5pm.<\/p>\n www.speedtruck.com<\/a><\/p>\n ACE SPEEDWAY<\/strong> (Altamahaw, NC) \u2013 The ASA Member Track will be hosting Ace Fest 2012 on Friday through Monday.\u00a0 Friday will have a full racing program featuring the Late Models, Limited Late Models, Extremes, Flat Head Fords and Fireworks starting at 8pm. Saturday will be their Community Day with a community yard sale & marketplace from 8am to 1pm followed by an ATV Rally Cross and Mudd Bogg Challenge at 1pm.\u00a0 Go Karts will also be in action starting at 1pm.\u00a0 Sunday is their Summer Series Band Festival along with a cookout, cornhole tournament, Car & Bike Show and race viewing party.\u00a0 Monday will have some great racing action at 3:45pm with Modifieds, Sportsman, Street Stocks, USAC Midgets, Stadium Stocks and Fireworks.<\/p>\n www.acespeedway.com<\/a><\/p>\n BIG COUNTRY SPEEDWAY<\/strong> (Cheyenne, WY) \u2013 The only asphalt track in Wyoming will be hosting two days of racing action on Saturday and Sunday.\u00a0 The Late Models, Grand American Modifieds, Super Stocks, Mod 4\u2019s, Warriors and Mini Cups will be in action both days.<\/p>\n www.warconline.com<\/a><\/p>\n DILLON MOTOR SPEEDWAY<\/strong> (Dillon, SC) \u2013 Two words for their event on Monday, September 3\u2026FREE ADMISSION!!!! Thanks to Fred Bowker & RacewayAutomotive.com, the grandstand admission for the 6th<\/sup> Annual Labor Day Monday 200 is free for fans.\u00a0 The Late Models, Chargers, Street Stocks, 4 Cylinders Mini Cup Stocks, UCARS and Legends will be in action with racing starting at 5pm. Along with the free admission; fans will also get a free hot dog.<\/p>\n www.dillonmotorspeedway.com<\/a><\/p>\n EAST BAY RACEWAY PARK<\/strong> (Tampa, FL) \u2013 East Bay will be hosting the \u201cBob Long Memorial Race\u201d this Saturday night featuring the Top Gun Sprints and East Bay Sprints in a combined event.\u00a0 The Late Models, 4 Cylinder Bombers and Daytona Area Antique Racing Association will also be in action.\u00a0 Racing gets underway at 6pm.<\/p>\n www.eastbayracewaypark.com<\/a><\/p>\n ILLIANA MOTOR SPEEDWAY<\/strong> (Schererville, IN) \u2013 Season Champions will be crowned this Saturday night.\u00a0 The Super Late Models, Legends, Turbo Stox, Pure Stocks, and Bandoleros will be in action.\u00a0 Racing starts at 7pm.<\/p>\n www.illianaspeedway.com<\/a><\/p>\n LEBANON I-44 SPEEDWAY<\/strong> (Lebanon, MO) \u2013 The High Banks 100 for the ASA Late Models is scheduled for this Saturday night at the ASA Member Track.\u00a0 The Sportsman and Modifieds will also be in action.\u00a0 Racing gets underway at 7:30pm.\u00a0 Arrive early for the Budweiser Pre-Race Party.<\/p>\n www.i44speedway.net<\/a><\/p>\n LONESOME PINE RACEWAY<\/strong> (Coeburn, VA)\u00a0 – It will be Back to School Night this Saturday night as the track will be giving away school supplies to the kids.\u00a0 The Late Models, Mod 4\u2019s, Street Stocks, Iron Warriors, Renegades and Pure 4\u2019s will be in action.\u00a0 If that is not all, there will also be a Powder Puff race and fireworks to end the night.<\/p>\n www.thepineraceway.com<\/a><\/p>\n MARSHFIELD MOTOR SPEEDWAY<\/strong> (Marshfield, WI) \u2013 The ASA Member Track in central Wisconsin will host a great racing program this Saturday night.\u00a0 The Super Late Models, Super Stocks, CWMSA 4-Cylinders, and Bandits will be in action.\u00a0 Plus, there will be an Egg Toss contest.\u00a0 Racing gets underway at 6:30pm.<\/p>\n www.marshfieldspeedway.com<\/a><\/p>\n MERIDIAN SPEEDWAY<\/strong> (Meridian, ID) \u2013 Fans will have an opportunity to check out two nights of racing action this Saturday and Sunday.\u00a0 On Saturday, the Vintage Mods\/Sprints, ASA Modifieds, Street Stocks, Legends and Spectacular Drags compete on the tight quarter-mile asphalt oval.\u00a0 The Legends, B Modifieds, Hornets and Thunderdogs will be competing on Sunday night.\u00a0 Racing starts at 6:30pm each night.<\/p>\n www.meridianspeedway.com<\/a><\/p>\n NEWPORT MOTOR SPEEDWAY<\/strong> (Newport, TN) \u2013 The high-banked asphalt oval will be hosting a fun racing program this Saturday night starting at 7:30pm.\u00a0 The Late Model Sportsman, Street Stocks, Front Wheel Drive, Legends, Mini Cups, Mod 4 and Pure Stocks will be in action.<\/p>\n www.newportmotorspeedway.com<\/a><\/p>\n NORWAY SPEEDWAY<\/strong> (Norway, MI) \u2013 The ASA Member Track located in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan will conclude their 2012 season this Sunday night with the Labor Day 100 for the Late Models.\u00a0 The Super Stocks, DQ Dogs Fab Fours, Wisconsin Sport Trucks and Go Karts will also be in action.\u00a0 What makes this event unique is that it will be taking place during the Dickinson County Fair, the same grounds where the track is located.<\/p>\n www.norwayspeedway.com<\/a><\/p>\n ROCKY MOUNTAIN RACEWAYS<\/strong> (West Valley City, UT) \u2013 The ASA Member Track located near Salt Lake City will host two action packed events this weekend. On Saturday, the Rocky Mountain Challenge Series, Midgets, Sprints, Figure-8\u2019s and Figure-8 Trains will be in action.\u00a0 Then on Labor Day Monday, the Maverick Modifieds, Hornets and Supercups will be racing, and the annual Doomsday Trailer Race will cap off the night. Racing gets underway at 6pm each night.<\/p>\n www.rmrracing.com<\/a><\/p>\n SKAGIT SPEEDWAY<\/strong> (Algers, WA) \u2013 The ASA Member Track will welcome the World of Outlaws sprint cars on Friday, August 31 and Saturday, September 1.\u00a0 The Outlaw Hornets will be part of the program on Friday night while the USAC Focus Midgets join the \u201cGreatest Show on Dirt\u201d on Saturday night.\u00a0 Racing action gets underway at 7pm each night.<\/p>\n www.skagitspeedway.com<\/a><\/p>\n SOUTHERN OREGON SPEEDWAY<\/strong> (Medford, OR) \u2013 The 17th<\/sup> Annual Lon Skinner Memorial \u201cKing of the Dirt\u201d Modified event will take place on Saturday, September 1 and Sunday, September 2.\u00a0 The racing action gets underway at 6pm each night.<\/p>\n www.sospeedway.com<\/a><\/p>\n VIRGINIA MOTOR SPEEDWAY<\/strong> (Jamaica, VA) \u2013 Bill Sawyer\u2019s track will be hosting their Championship night on Saturday, September 1 with a special twin race format. The Late Models, Modifieds, Sportsman, and Limited Stock Cars will be in action.
