\"\"Clermont, IN (July 27, 2012)<\/strong> – Boris Jurkovic and Erik Darnell led the field to the green flag to start the Fatheadz 100 presented by Team Construction at Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis. 100 laps later 14 year old Kyle Benjamin became the youngest driver to win an ARCA\/CRA Super Series event in dominating fashion as he beat back a challenge from Kenzie Ruston near the half way mark to win by 1.407 seconds.\u00a0 Ruston finished second, Travis Sauter third, Daniel Hamric fourth and Terry Fisher, Jr fifth.<\/p>\n

“Winning here means a lot to me.” Benjamin stated. “I always watched the races from here on tv. I didn’t think I had anything for them at the beginning, but it played into my hands some.”<\/p>\n

Darnell took the lead on the first lap, but after an early caution Jurkovic passed for the lead when he and Darnell touched sending Jurkovic into the wall on the front stretch as he slowed keeping his car from spinning a pile up behind the leaders ended the night for several drivers.\u00a0 Jurkovic took his injured car to the pits.<\/p>\n

Brian Campbell then drove to the front taking the lead on the 25th<\/sup> lap when he and Darnell spun in the second turn after Campbell took the lead. The EDCO Welding Fast Qualifier Chad Finley took the lead but was only able to hold it for 10 laps when Benjamin drove past him.\u00a0 Ruston slipped under him on lap 46, but Benjamin retook the lead on the 47th<\/sup> lap and he never gave up the lead.<\/p>\n

This is the second time in a row the winner at Lucas Oil Raceway was a first time winner in the ARCA\/CRA Super Series.\u00a0 In October Ruston became the first woman to win a Super Series event.<\/p>\n

Jay Niewiek took home the Lane Automotive\/ISKY Racing Cams Hardcharger Award and Racing Electronics Hardcharger Award after moving up to his 11th<\/sup> place finishing position after starting 33rd<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

Hemric has been dominating the JEGS\/CRA All Stars Tour presented by Chevrolet Performance series with six wins in nine races.\u00a0 He finished fourth in the Fatheadz 100 on Friday and earned one of the Hoosier Racing Tires Performance Awards with Nick Lay taking home the second one.<\/p>\n

Becca Kasten took home the Boyne Machine Company Rookie of the Race Award moving up 20 positions during the race to finish seventh.\u00a0 The VDL Fuel Systems Hot Lap of the Race went to Darnell for turning the fastest lap during the race.<\/p>\n

Fisher took the AR Bodies Cool Move the Race Award, after dropping back to last place early in the race following a stop in the pits and driving through the field to finish fifth.<\/p>\n
