CARNESVILLE, GA – Just 12 points separate the top three drivers in the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series South East Region point standings heading into a $38,000 Double Racing Weekend. The action begins on Friday night at Lavonia Speedway in Lavonia, GA and then goes to North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, GA on Saturday night.

Each race pays $4,000-to-win and $400-to-start. The complete payout for each race is as follows: 1. $4,000; 2. $2,000; 3. $1,350; 4. $1,000; 5. $875; 6. $775; 7. $700; 8. $600; 9. $500; 10. $450; 11. $425; 12. $400; 13. $400; 14. $400; 15. $400; 16. $400; 17. $400; 18. $400; 19. $400; 20. $400; 21. $400; 22. $400; 23. $400; 24. $400. M&W Transport will put up $200 each night for the Fast Time Award.

Tyler Millwood of Cartersville, GA is the new ULTIMATE SE point leader going into the Friday night race at Lavonia Speedway with 241 points. Millwood also leads the Autolite/Fram/DirtOnDirt.com Rookie of the Year point standings. In nine starts, Millwood has four top five finishes in his last five races, and six top ten finishes.

Jonathan Davenport of Blairsville, GA is second in the ULTIMATE SE standings with 233 points, just eight points behind Millwood. Davenport has three top five finishes and four top ten finishes in nine starts.

Jason Welshan of Maryville, TN is five points behind Davenport in the third spot of the ULTIMATE SE standings with 228 points after two top five finishes and five top ten finishes in nine starts. Welshan will return to the venue of his best finish of the season on Saturday night, when he finished second on March 4 at North Georgia Speedway.

Behind the top three in the ULTIMATE SE Top Ten of the point standings are drivers not that far out at this point of the season, still with a chance to get into the Championship hunt. They include three former ULTIMATE Champions and some of the top dirt late model talent in the country.

The defending and two-time ULTIMATE Champion Dennis Franklin of Gaffney, SC is fourth in the standings with 213 points. Three-time ULTIMATE Champion Casey Roberts of Toccoa, GA will be in action this weekend, and is fifth in the standings with 144 points. G.R. Smith of Statesville, GA is battling Roberts for that fifth spot, and has 141 points in the sixth position.

Brandon Overton of Evans, GA is seventh in the ULTIMATE SE standings with 138 points and two wins this season, including the season opener on March 4 at North Georgia Speedway. Dale McDowell of Chickamauga, GA is eighth in the standings with 137 points and he also has two ULTIMATE wins this season.

The 2011 ULTIMATE Champion Chris Ferguson of Mt. Holly, NC is ninth in the standings with 135 points and one ULTIMATE win this season. Brett Hamm of Newberry, SC rounds out the top ten in the ULTIMATE SE standings with 127 points, and he is second in the Autolite/Fram/DirtOnDirt.com Rookie of the Year point standings.

The ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series South East Region has become the top regional dirt late model series in the country this season, as the list of drivers that have won races reads like a who’s who of the sport. The competition is so strong; fans in the stands never know who they might see in an ULTIMATE SE race.

Drivers that have visited Victory Lane so far in 2017 at an ULTIMATE SE race include Overton, Ferguson, and McDowell, along with Shane Clanton of Zebulon, GA, Earl Pearson Jr. of Jacksonville, FL, Jeff Smith of Dallas, NC, and Scott Bloomquist of Mooresburg, TN.

On Friday night at Lavonia Speedway, gates open at 5 p.m. with ULTIMATE Pre-Race Registration from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The Drivers Meeting is set for 7 p.m. with racing scheduled for 7 p.m.
