3-12-12 – Top Gun Sprint Cars make their 2012 debut with the Scorpion Performance Products UMP DirtCar Open-Wheel Modifieds, Hobby Stocks, Thunderstocks, and Gladiators all while battling for $1000 on Night Of A Thousands.

Danny Martin, Jr. will try to dominate the field again while drivers such as Tim George, Robbie Smith, Matt Kurtz, and Jimmy Ballew. And, Tyler Godwin looks to take another win over Danny Martin, Jr.

“The Killer” Kyle Bronson looks to keep his prey at bay while drivers behind him will start playing catch up. Rich Pratt was a distant 2nd and while he attempts to beat Bronson he’ll have to hold off Dalton Lanich who is ready to battle. Ron Burgess and Scott Mooers also took top 5s and hope to keep it up throughout 2012. And we all await “4-Time” Jeff Mathews debut as we keep his family in prayer.

Two races. Two undefeated winners. Josh Bedenbaugh took race 1 while Tim Gay took race 2; neither competed both weeks. As 2012 rolls on Sean Monaghan hopes to keep the consistency he’s shown and hold on to the points lead he owns now. Rodney Wright has had some misfortunes but can make the ground up with some wins and top 5s. John Clark, Brian Jerrels, and Brian Shea have shown consistency and hope to continue it through 2012.

Thunderstock points leader Shane Nichols just took a win and knows he’ll need a few more to hold Jason Gamble and Jonathan Appleby off. Of course, Vaughn Woodall and Justin Durbin will give chase from 4th and 5th. And 2011 champion Brian Shea will give chase and he’s very confident with his reduced Thunderstock schedule.

“Terrible” Tony LaPorta will keep the pressure on the field while S&S Roofing will put Harold Lewis, Steve Johnson, and Steve Cox on the job of beating LaPorta. Brandon Haseleu drove a fantastic race and ended up in the top 5 which has him 5th in points. Can any one beat LaPorta and who will leave with the points and glory?

The pit gates open at 4 while grandstands now open at 5! Racing scheduled for 7. For more information you can visit www.bubbaracewaypark.com or call the Speedway at 352-622-9400.
