(Four Oaks, North Carolina) – Many West Virginia dirt tracks started their 2013 racing season this past weekend with great success. The 3/8th mile Princeton Speedway nestled a short drive right off I-77 near the Virginia/West Virginia state line border is ready to kick off the 2013 campaign this weekend April 27th. The Princeton Speedway is coming off a very successful Open Practice which drew in about 30+ cars this past weekend. The entire racing community around the 3/8th mile Princeton Speedway is “excited and buzzed” about the upcoming season especially after the recent closure in 2012. Track owner Melvin Bishop after having numerous fallout’s with the leasing of Princeton Speedway has now finally reached an agreement with Freddy Mooney as the Track Promoter and the green flag is set to fly this Saturday.

In addition to the local divisions that will be racing, the always exciting “Premier” class the Pro (crate) Late Models will compete under FASTRAK Racing Series sanctioning for 2013. This means the opportunity to race not only for the Princeton Speedway title but also compete in the $250,000 FASTRAK World Championships.
FASTRAK Pro (crate) Late Models competitors will have to run the minimum needed of 15 races and be an active 2013 FASTRAK Member. The incentives are well worth the one-time $100 Membership fee. Princeton Speedway is also TENTATIVELY SCHEDULED to host the Final Leg in the Memorial Day Weekend Traditional FASTRAK Triple Crown. It’s slated for Sunday May 26th featuring the FASTRAK City Chevrolet Southeast/Mideast Touring Division.
